What is Karot?
Karot helps people in the UAE sell pre-owned jewellery, gold, watches and more. We share your item with approved buyers, bring you an offer and handle the checks, handover and sale if you accept. You don't have to find or negotiate with a buyer yourself.
What do I need to send?
What the item is, its material and its weight. If you don't know the purity or the weight, say so: both are checked when we have it. For a watch: the brand, the model if you know it, and whether you have the box and papers. Photos help, and you can add them from your dashboard.
Is there a minimum?
We don't take plain gold under 3 g or silver under 100 g. There's no minimum for watches, or for pieces with diamonds or stones.
Does Karot buy my jewellery?
No. Karot sells it for you, to an approved partner from our network: we find the best price, get your item by secure pickup or office drop-off, check it, complete the sale and pay you. You never deal with the partner.
Do I have to visit a buyer?
No. Everything happens from your phone. If you accept your offer, choose a secure pickup, or drop it at our office and watch us check it.
How do I get paid?
By bank transfer, within 24 hours of the sale: the offer you accepted, less our success fee.
What if my item isn't as I described?
We weigh and test it once we have it. If it differs from what you told us, we call you with a revised price. Accept it, or we bring the item back to you, free.
What does Karot charge?
Our success fee is 12.5% of the sale price, plus VAT where it applies. You see the fee and exactly what you'll receive before you confirm. If you don't sell, you pay nothing.
Do I have to sell?
No. Keep your jewellery and pay nothing.
