How to sell with Karot

From your first tap to the money in your account, step by step. Nothing is charged unless your jewellery sells, and every step shows in your dashboard.

   Under a minute

   Tell us what you have

   What the item is, what it's made of and its weight, as far as you know them. Then your name and number. Add photos from your dashboard: the whole piece, and a close-up of any stamp.

2. 2

   Usually within a few hours

   We check it

   We look over the details and photos before we go looking for a price. If something is missing or unclear, we tell you. We don't take very small plain pieces, gold under 3 g or silver under 100 g, and we'll tell you straight away.

3. 3

   Within a day

   We find an offer

   We share your item with approved buyers in our UAE network. You receive an offer without haggling, and buyers never see your name or number.

4. 4

   Stands for 2 days

   You see your offer

   Tap Accept and we show you our fee and exactly what you'll receive before you confirm. Accepted by mistake? Cancel once, within 15 minutes. If you don't accept, keep your jewellery and pay nothing, or ask for a fresh price, up to three times.

5. 5

   Arranged with you once you accept

   Pickup or drop-off

   Choose a secure pickup, or bring the item to our office, with its receipt if you have one. We agree a time with you. We check your Emirates ID, as the law on precious metals requires, and take the bank details we'll pay you to.

6. 6

   Once we have it

   We weigh and test it

   If the item is as you described, the sale goes ahead. If it differs, we call you with a revised price: accept it, or we bring the item back to you, free.

7. 7

   Within 24 hours of the sale

   Sold, and you're paid

   We complete the sale and take the payment. You're paid by bank transfer: the offer you accepted, less our success fee of 12.5% of the sale price, plus VAT where it applies.
