Karot brings sellers' pre-owned jewellery and watches to approved buyers across the UAE. You see each item as it arrives and bid. If you win, we collect it from the seller and bring it to you.

How it works

   Sign up in a few minutes

   Create an account with your name or business name. A trade licence and Emirates ID are optional, but accounts with them are approved faster. We check every account by hand, usually within a working day.

2. 2

   Items arrive, and you hear about them

   Sellers send what they have from their phones: the item, its purity, its weight, and any photos they add. We check each one, then it is open for offers for 24 hours, and you get an email the moment it appears.

3. 3

   Make your offer

   A number in dirhams, subject to inspection at delivery. On some items you see the highest offer so far and can go above it; on others offers are sealed. You can change yours while the item is open.

4. 4

   If you win, we deliver

   The seller accepts and Karot collects the item. We bring it to you to weigh and test; if it's as described, you pay Karot by bank transfer. No meeting the seller, no chasing a handover.

What it costs

Nothing. No fee to join, to see items, to bid or to buy. You pay the price you bid, nothing on top.

What we ask of buyers

• Bid what you mean to pay. If you win and the item checks out, pay what you bid.
• Be there for the delivery we arrange with you.
• Be who you say you are. Every account is approved by hand, and we may ask for a trade licence or Emirates ID.
